Emily’s Marathon: Raising funds for rangatahi.

Running a marathon is no small feat, but Emily took it on with a clear purpose: to raise funds for counselling sessions at Te Tahi Youth.

Emily’s goal was simple, help young people get the support they need, and she crushed it.

By the finish line, Emily had raised $3,600, which will fund 50 counselling sessions. Many donors connected with her idea of $70 per session, and a few even donated $42 – one for each kilometre of the marathon. It’s inspiring to see how her goal resonated with friends, family, and the wider community.

Emily’s run shows how much one person can make a difference. Every step she took helped turn a simple idea into real support for rangatahi, and her efforts have brought attention to the work Te Tahi Youth does every day. It’s a reminder that even small actions, signing up, showing up, giving what you can, can create a big impact in someone’s life.

You can help too
Through our Te Tahi Shop, you can fund counselling sessions, doctor appointments, or help restock essential medical supplies. Every donation goes straight to young people who need it.

Thank you again to Emily, and everyone who contributed. Every session funded is another young person who knows they have someone to turn to.
